Sunroofs cause two very different problems. The first is water: a sunroof that leaks is usually not leaking through the glass at all, but through blocked drainage channels that run down the pillars of the vehicle. The second is movement: a roof that jams part way, will not close, or grinds as it moves.
A leak often shows up as a damp headlining, wet carpet in the footwells or a musty smell, and people frequently blame the windscreen when the water is actually coming from the roof.
Where the glass panel itself has been broken, the panel is replaced and reset so it sits flush and seals correctly when closed.
We work on conventional sliding sunroofs and on the larger panoramic roofs fitted to many newer vehicles.
